RFID introduction

This brochure gives the reader a general introduction on Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID), a fast growing market. It explains what it is, how it works, what the limitations are and which technologies are used. It also introduces our new product Ferroxtag and explains the benefits over other tags. Ferroxtag is a HF tag (operating at 13.56 MHz) suitable for operation attached to metallic items and in the neighbourhood of liquids. Due to the ferrite antenna, it also has a considerable reading range.
